Active listening for online meetings

We all experience the difficulty in giving someone our full attention. In virtual settings, this becomes even more complex. We have to compete with multi-tasking and the lag in audio and video. In addition, we have to allow each other much more opportunity to speak, interrupting each other seems more difficult (which can be a good thing!), and it all feel a bit less fluid than it does in face-to-face meetings.

How do you become a better listener? In this session you will get the theory, tools and exercises to help you increase your active listening skills, so that you get the information you need, and foster common understanding. Improved listening skills can enhance collaboration since co-workers feel your genuine interest and attention, and this in turn results in that your colleagues reciprocate this genuine attention. Additionally, it can improve productivity since vital information is captured in the communication.
